A Kashmiri girl who was blinded by pellets in 2016 has cleared her Class 12 boards with first-division marks.
Insha Mushtaq was hit by pellets in July 2016 during the violence following the death of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.
She had opened the window of her house in Kashmir's Shopian district to look outside when she got hit by the pellets fired by security forces. Insha was 14 years old then. She has since been called the face of Kashmir's pellet victims.
In 2018, Insha appeared for Class 10 boards with the help of a writer and cleared the exams.
