Captain Geetika Koul scripts history, becomes 1st woman medical officer to be deployed at Siachen

Captain Geetika Koul from Snow Leopard Brigade created history as she became the first woman medical officer of the Indian Army to be deployed at the world's highest battlefield, Siachen. 

The Indian Army's Fire and Fury Corps on Tuesday, December 5 shared the information about this and said that Captain Geetika Koul got the posting after completing the induction training at Siachen Battle School.

The Siachen Glacier is a glacier located in the eastern Karakoram range in the Himalayas. It is the longest glacier in the Karakoram and the second longest in the world's non-polar areas.
