As board exams for classes 10 and 12 are underway across the country, a cheating video from Haryana has sparked outrage. A viral video showed people climbing the walls of the Chandrawati School in Tauru to help students cheat.
The incident reportedly took place on Tuesday while the class 10 Hindi exam under the Haryana Board was being held.
District Education Officer Paramjeet Chahal has sought a report on the incident.
"Action will be taken against any erring official if their role in helping students cheat in the exams is found. There are CCTV cameras on the premises and this would also be checked. The chairman will decide if the exam needs to be nullified and the centre sealed, " Chahal said.
The district collector has imposed prohibitory orders under section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) near exam centres in Nuh district to deter unauthorised individuals from entering these venues. The administration has also ordered the closure of photocopy shops near them.
