Chhath puja: this is how people are celebrating holy festival across the country

Today is the last day of the four-day-long festival of Chhath puja. This festival is being celebrated with enthusiasm across the country and the visuals of it depict the same. 

On the final day of Chhath, arghya is offered to the sun and with that, devotees break their 36-hour-long fast. This festival is being celebrated across the nation and it can be seen that devotees concluded this festival by offering their prayers. 

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was also seen offering arghya to the rising sun in Patna, Bihar on the last day of Chhath. From Bihar to Maharashtra, people are seen celebrating this festival with full fervour. 

For those unaware, Chhath Puja is a holy festival celebrated in India. It's dedicated to worshipping the Sun God, Surya, and Chhathi Maiya, seeking blessings for well-being, prosperity, and longevity.

Lasting for four days, devotees observe rigorous rituals, including fasting, offering prayers, and performing aarti while standing in water, expressing gratitude to the Sun for sustaining life on Earth.
