The online ticket booking platform Book My Show is receiving criticism online for denying entry to queer couples to a queer-rated comedy show. The standup comedian, Navin Noronha, who is going to perform, shared the ordeal of the customer who was trying to book queer couple ticket for the show from Book My Show.
Navin shared that the queer couple were denied booking the ticket because the online ticket booking platforms only qualify a boy and a girl as a couple.
The comedian shared the screenshot of the message that he received about a queer couple not getting tickets for his show. The messages read,
"Since a couple ticket is cheaper as reflected on the book my show, I thought it will be better if i can attend this event with another interested accomplice."
The message further mentioned that the online ticket booking platform did not mention about the type of couple.
"I assumed that a same-sex couple entry would be allowed."
However, by calling customer care, the person was denied booking a ticket for the queer couple as Book My Show only considers a boy and a girl as a couple.
This message quickly went viral and users reacted by saying that this is horrible behavior from BMS.
