In interim relief for former Bihar Chief Ministers Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, and their daughter Misa Bharti, the trio were granted bail by a CBI court in Delhi on 15 March 2023.

The court asked the accused the furnish a bail bond and surety of ₹50,000.

It was Lalu Yadav's first appearance in court after a kidney transplant in Singapore three months ago. The RJD chief arrived in a wheelchair.

The case pertains to an alleged land-for-jobs scam in which "irregular appointments" were made in the Railways in exchange for cheap land deals, as per CBI.
