The air dipped into the 'severe category' on November 22 at many places in Delhi from the 'very poor' category a day earlier.
As per the Central Pollution Control Board data recorded at 7 am, the AQI was 405 in Anand Vihar, 428 in Jahangirpuri, 404 in Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium and 403 in Dwarka Sector 8.
The overall AQI stood at 393 in the 'very poor' category, compared to 323 recorded a day ago.
The Air Quality Index from 0 to 100 is considered as good, while from 100 to 200 it is moderate, from 200 to 300 it is poor, and from 300 to 400 it is said to be very poor and from 400 to 500 or above it is considered as severe.
