Delhi auto driver arrested for using foot over bridge to avoid traffic

In a bid to avoid a traffic jam, a Delhi auto driver drove over a foot over a bridge. A video of his stunt later went viral on social media, leading to his arrest.

Another man is seen jumping into the auto, which makes its way up the bumpy staircase. Pedestrians were seen giving way to the climbing auto. Reports say the passenger was also arrested.

The incident was reported in Delhi’s Hamdard Nagar Red Light Sangam Vihar Traffic Circle.

New Delhi law enforcement officials identified the driver as 25-year-old Munna, a resident of Sangam Vihar. The person who jumped into the auto, identified as Amit, was also a resident of Sangam Vihar.

Delhi police officials have also seized the driver’s auto.
