Delhi Declaration: what are the key highlights of G20 joint statement

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said consensus has been built on the New Delhi G20 Leaders' Summit Declaration and announced its adoption.

Speaking about the key highlights of the Delhi Declaration earlier, India's G20 sherpa, Amitabh Kant said the declaration focuses on the 4 Ps - Peace, Prosperity, People and Planet. 

Kant tweeted that the New Delhi Leaders Declaration at the G20 Summit highlights five key areas of focus:

  1. Promoting robust, sustainable, equitable growth
  2. Fast-Tracking achievement of #SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)
  3. Commitment to a Green Development Pact for a sustainable future
  4. Adapting multilateral institutions to the 21st century challenges
  5. Revitalizing global multilateral cooperation
