The Central Bureau of Investigation has listed 15 accused, including Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, in its FIR on alleged excise scam.
The CBI named Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia as the first accused in the excise policy case.
Source-based reports said that the CBI sought sanction under Section 17 A from the competent authority before filing the FIR. An India Today report said that the sanction was sought against four government servants, including Manish Sisodia and two IAS officers.
The CBI also raided 21 other locations across states in connection with the Delhi excise policy, escalating tensions between the government and the Aam Aadmi Party, or AAP, which alleged the central agency was acting on orders "from above".
