The Union Cabinet has approved an ₹8,399 crore project for constructing two new corridors of Delhi Metro.

An eight-kilometre-long corridor from Lajpat Nagar to Saket G-Block will connect Silver, Magenta, Pink and Violet lines. The route will have eight metro stations, all entirely elevated.

The other corridor, about 12-kilometre-long, is an extension of the Green line from Inderlok to Indraprastha.

The route will have 10 stations and will provide interchange with the Red, Yellow, Airport, Magenta, Violet and Blue lines.

The project will be completed by March 2029.
