BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah took potshots at the Congress party after it decided not to participate in debates related to Lok Sabha elections exit polls.
Talking to ANI news agency, Shah said that the Congress leaders have sensed defeat, and hence were unable to face the media.
"For some time, Congress has been in denial mode. In this election, they campaigned that they are forming the majority. It seems they have realised that the exit poll will show their massive defeat, and are avoiding the media. Hence, they are boycotting the entire exit poll exercise," he said.
"Exit polls have been happening for a long time. They used to take part. But this time, they are sensing defeat and are unable to explain, and that's why they are boycotting. And since Rahul Gandhi has taken charge of Congress, they have been in denial mode," he added.
