As many parts of the country are dealing with the cascading impact of the heatwave, visuals of Delhiites running behind and climbing atop a Delhi Jal Board tanker have come to light. Water shortage has been reported across various parts of the national capital, including Chanakyapuri's Sanjay Camp area and East Delhi's Geeta Colony.

People living in Patel Nagar, Mehrauli and Chattarpur, are also dealing with water shortage as mercury hurtled closer to 50 degrees Celsius in some parts of Delhi.

In one of the videos that has gone viral, it can be seen that a large crowd of residents desperately trying to fill their buckets from water tankers that have been deployed to supply water to the parched areas.
