Dental student arrested for spying on woman tenant using pen camera in Chennai

A 35-year-old dental student in Chennai was arrested for allegedly spying on a woman using a pen camera. The woman lived with her husband in a rented house owned by the accused's father.

The matter came to light on Tuesday night after she noticed a red light beaming from an object resembling a pen near one of the windows in the bathroom.

Upon closer inspection, she found a small camera in it, following which the couple lodged a complaint with the police.

After a probe, the police arrested the accused Ibrahim.

“He stays with his parents in Royapuram police station jurisdiction, and the victim aged around 30, resides in one of the many houses in the apartment complex. She found a pen camera inside her bathroom and informed her husband about this,” police said, according to The New Indian Express news outlet.
