Roshan Kumar Sahu, an Indian student stranded in war-torn Ukraine, spoke to editorji about the difficulties he is facing in getting evacuated.
Sahu, currently stranded in Ivano-Frankivsk, said that he tried to cross the border into Romania but failed. He claimed that the situation at the border was "very bad", with students being forced to stay in the open in freezing temperatures.
Subsequently, he returned to his university hostel. He is a second-year MBBS student at the Ivano-Frankivsk university. Sahu said that he hears air raid sirens at night, and has received no help or information regarding evacuation yet.

Being stranded around 500 km from the Ukraine-Poland border, Sahu says that he has no idea how he will be able to travel to the crossing to be able to board an evacuation flight to India.
A day earlier, the Indian government had said that around 8,000 nationals are still in Ukraine, with at least half of them still in the conflict zone.
