External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will address a high-level session of the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on September 26.

As per Hindustan Times, the minister might respond to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s allegations of possible involvement of the Indian government in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

While the relations between the two countries continue to deteriorate, Canada has so far not provided any substantial evidence to back its allegations.

Both countries have issued travel advisories warning their citizens to remain cautious in the foreign country. Both have expelled diplomats from the other side.
