After a brief respite, north India is likely to face a fresh onslaught of wintry chill with the cold wave worsening between 14 and 19 January 2023.
The cold wave may be at its peak between 16 and 18 January, according to a weather expert quoted by news agency ANI. The minimum temperature in northern India is likely to drop to (-)4 degrees Celsius while the maximum may be limited to 2 degrees Celsius, as per the report.
Meanwhile, on 12 January 2023, the Safdarjung observatory in Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 9.3°C, while Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 9.6°C till 8:30am.
