The Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal have reiterated their demands of sprinkling cow urine and applying tilak on their foreheads of those attending garba and dandiya events during Navratri.

The VHP and Bajrang insist that only Hindus should be allowed to attend these events and steps like sprinkling cow urine and putting tilak will help in segregating Hindus and non-Hindus.

In Maharashtra, the VHP has said that the Aadhaar card of all entrants should be checked at the gate to stop non-Hindus from entering. In addition to tilak, VHP also wants the volunteers at the gate to tie a red sacred thread on the wrists of the entrants.
