Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz on 26 February 2023 invited Indian techies and other skilled workers to work in Germany.

Scholz reportedly said that his coalition government was planning to reduce immigration hurdles, and introduce a point-based system which would make it easier for people to get visas even if they don't have a firm job in hand.

However, the German leader did not specify the number of Indian specialists Berlin hoped to attract.

Scholz visited software company SAP Labs in Bengaluru, Karnataka on Day 2 of his India trip.
