In a tragic and enigmatic development, Dharamveer Singh, the lone Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Transport Department, was found dead in circumstances that remain under investigation. Singh's demise occurred at his residence in the South Avenue area on Shivpuri Link Road, falling within the jurisdiction of the Kampoo Police Station in Gwalior.

Singh, who lived alone, was discovered lifeless, prompting questions regarding the cause of his untimely passing. Preliminary suspicions suggest that excessive alcohol consumption may have contributed to his death. It is reported that Singh had a previous professional association with Saurabh Sharma, an ex-constable turned "multi-millionaire". Sharma, who now finds himself incarcerated, faces multiple charges from several investigative arms, including the Lokayukta, Enforcement Directorate, and Income Tax departments.

Singh, who once collaborated with Sharma, later resigned from his position in the transport department. Sharma’s rapid wealth accumulation had drawn considerable scrutiny, leading to high-profile raids. Initially joining the force on compassionate grounds after his father's passing, Sharma's fall from grace has only intensified the intrigue surrounding Singh's death.

The incident unfolded in the early hours of the morning. "We are currently investigating at his residence," confirmed Rudra Pathak, the senior investigation officer and in-charge of Kampoo Police Station, during a call with IANS. Pathak mentioned that Singh’s body had been sent for post-mortem examination and emphasized that conclusions regarding his death would follow further inquiries and autopsy results.

The link to Saurabh Sharma has spurred speculation, yet authorities have remained reserved in their statements. Officers from the Kampoo police station acted with urgency, notifying Singh's family while awaiting the post-mortem findings to shed light on the case. Although hints suggest a history of alcohol dependency, the police are withholding official declarations until medical evidence is presented. Investigations are ongoing with more details anticipated.

Originating from Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh, Dharamveer Singh was part of the Flying Squad team within the Transport Department. As he neared retirement, with only six months to go, this tragic event marked an abrupt end to his career.

According to police reports, Udit, Singh’s driver, had served him tea the night before. However, when Udit attempted to wake Singh at 6 a.m., he was unresponsive. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Udit promptly informed neighbors and emergency services. Singh was subsequently transported to the hospital, where medical professionals confirmed his death.

The unexpected passing of Dharamveer Singh has left a community seeking answers, as authorities work meticulously to uncover the truth behind this mysterious incident.
