The Haryana government has provided free bus travel facility to Special Police Officers (SPOs) working in the police department. A monthly deduction of 120 rupees will be made from their salary for this facility. Following the announcement by CM Manohar Lal, the Home Department's proposal was approved by the Finance Department and has been communicated to the Transport Department.

Though these individuals are recorded as Special Police Officers in the police department records, their employment is not regular. Their salary also depends on the approval of the budget.
