Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Feb 12 said that safeguarding the rights of the poor is paramount for the state government. The government has identified poor families through the PPP, an umbrella scheme of the government. Dedicated efforts are being made to ensure the reach of every welfare scheme at the doorsteps of every beneficiary. The state government is working towards strengthening the infrastructural development and character building, said Manohar Lal while speaking at a program organized in Rohtak district.
He said that the government has transformed the old systems in the state. Powers have been delegated to various departments to carry out public welfare works promptly, and a transparent system. The state government is working with the motto of ‘Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek’ to ensure the holistic development of the State.
The Chief Minister said that he has donated his ancestral home to create an e-library for the society, and he has also donated one acre of land out of his three-acre share. The government has established 1000 e-libraries in the state, and more e-libraries are being set up in every village to facilitate the youth. The state government's policy of providing jobs based on merit has instilled confidence in the youth for education, he said.
Manohar Lal stated that there has been significant change in governance at the center and state levels since 2014. Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, India will emerge as the world's third-largest economic power in the next 5 years. The Prime Minister has adopted a vision of supporting good deeds and opposing wrongdoings while changing old ideologies.
