Haryana achieves mustard procurement target for Central government

Within a fortnight, Haryana has successfully met the target of procuring 3.25 lakh MT of mustard for the Central government under the Price Support Scheme, a report by the Tribune said. 

As per the report, significant quantities were acquired across various districts, with Bhiwani leading at over 83,000 MT, followed by Sirsa, Mahendragarh, and others.

Notably, the procurement was initiated on March 26 and  maintained a rate of Rs 5,650 per quintal.

Additionally, the Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED) has commenced commercial procurement of mustard across 107 mandis in the state, with HAFED and Haryana State Warehousing Corporation (HSWC) overseeing purchases in 54 and 53 mandis, respectively.
