The Haryana government has instructed both government and private banks to freeze all withdrawals from the accounts of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) until further notice.

This directive follows a stay granted by the Punjab and Haryana High Court, which suspended proceedings from March 28 where the current executive committee had replaced the old one.

The government cited concerns of potential embezzlement by the current committee despite ongoing legal proceedings.
