Haryana's Minister of Home and Health Anil Vij, visited the Shiva Temple in Shastri Colony, Ambala Cantt, today to participate in a cleanliness drive and seek the blessings of the deity.
Previously, Vij had urged people during the Shriram Yatra in Ambala to engage in daily cleanliness activities at religious sites until January 22, coinciding with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Shriram Temple in Ayodhya. Aligning with his call, he personally initiated the cleanliness drive at the temple today.
Speaking to journalists, the minister emphasized the importance of creating a pure atmosphere inside and outside all temples and religious places by January 22. This effort aligns with the upcoming consecration ceremony at the Shriram Temple in Ayodhya. He urged people to maintain cleanliness, follow a sattvic diet, refrain from consuming meat and alcohol, and avoid tamasic and rajasic foods to keep the mind pure.
