Haryana's Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Anil Vij, has criticized the strike by government doctors in the state, stating, "This strike is unjustified. The doctors' main demand for a separate specialist cadre has already been approved by the government. This was also communicated to the doctors. Other issues can be discussed and resolved through meetings, but this strike is completely unjustified."
It should be noted that the Haryana Civil Medical Services Association has several demands, including a separate cadre for specialists, reduction of the bond amount for PG doctors, and promotion-based selection for senior medical officers.
OPDs in all government hospitals across the state remained closed due to the strike. The Association has warned of a complete strike on December 29 if their demands are not met.
