Haryana Education Department of the state has dealt a major blow to JBT teachers by cancelling transfer orders issued by the department due to the enforcement of the electoral code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections.

Notably, despite being transferred, JBT teachers have been unable to join duty. Recently issued posting orders have allegedly been halted in light of the election process.

According to media reports, around 9,200 JBT teachers were transferred at the state level. Under this year's transfer process, teachers were transferred to other districts. However, the orders for relieving or joining were issued on March 16, when the Election Commission announced the Model Code of Conduct.
