Incessant rains have wreaked havoc in the eastern state of Assam yet again this year. Several district are flooded and some of them cut away from the rest of the state due to landslides.
State disaster management authorities have said the flood situation is grim in several parts of Assam, with eight districts inundated by the rising water in river Brahmaputra and its tributaries.
The state has registered 42 deaths due to floods and landslides this year.
Videos from hill district of Dima Hasao show washed away roads and broken railway tracks leaving people stranded.
Several villages in Tumulpur district of Assam are inundated with videos showing people navigating in waist-deep waters.

State capital Guwahati is experiencing severe water-logging in parts of the city.
