Commuters in Delhi NCR witnesses massive traffic jams on Monday as farmers from different states reached Delhi to take a part in a large gathering or a ‘mahapanchayat’ at the Jantar Mantar.
Police beefed up security at Singhu border in North-West Delhi leading to slow traffic.
People coming from Ghaziabad to Delhi got stuck as cars moved sluggishly due to the barricading and security checks at the Ghazipur border.
National Highway 48 connecting Rajasthan and Haryana to Delhi was also barricaded with police checking buses to prevent farmers from entering the capital.
There was heavy traffic on Delhi Gurugram roads because of check points set up by the police.
Heavy security at Noida-Delhi Chilla border also slowed down movement of traffic.

Within Delhi, the traffic police issued an advisory for roads to avoid. The advisory asked commuters to avoid Tolstoy Marg, Sansad Marg, Janpath, the outer circle of Connaught Place , Ashoka Road, Baba Kharak Singh Marg and Pandit Pant Marg
