Sunny Deol's house was all set to put be put under a hammer after the Bank of Baroda notice was published on August 20 but in less than 24 hours, the bank cancelled the auction citing 'techinical reasons'

The actor's house was going to be auctioned to recover dues worth Rs 56 crores. According to reports, the 'Gadar 2' actor had borrowed the money to fund his 2016 film ‘Ghayal Once Again'.

The film was reportedly produced for nearly Rs 50 crores and Deol couldn't pay back the loan as the collections of the movie, which was a sequel to his 1990 hit film 'Ghayal', were underwhelming.

Bank of Baroda had put the 599.44 square metres Juhu villa up for auction to recover the lost money.

Deol’s recent film ‘Gadar 2’ is performing well at the box office and has reportedly minted Rs 375 crore at the box office as of August 20.

According to reports, the film's box office success may help Sunny Deol to pay his dues to the bank.
