Himachal: drunk tourists will be dropped off at their hotels, 'won't be sent to jail'

As Himchal Pradesh welcomes thousands of New Year revelers, chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has urged tourists to follow all rules and regulations.

Inaugurating the weeklong 'Winter Carnival' in Shimla, the chief minister also assured that in case police found drunk tourists, they would be dropped at their hotels instead of sending them to jail.

Himachal is witnessing heavy footfall of tourists for the Christmas-New Year holiday week.
