Supreme Court lawyer Renu Sinha was allegedly murdered by her husband in their Noida house. Police found the husband hiding in the storeroom three days after the murder.
Authorities were alerted by Renu Sinha’s brother, who was unable to contact her for 2 days. After finding the lawyer’s remains at the house on September 9, police tracked the missing husband’s phone.
The couple were reportedly the only residents of the Noida house after their son moved abroad.
Police officials said the killing could be traced back to a property-related disagreement between the couple. The husband, identified as Nitin Nath Sinha, wanted to sell their bungalow in Noida’s Sector 30. He also reportedly took a token amount from a potential buyer, NDTV reported citing police officials.

Renu Sinha did not agree to put the bungalow up for sale. Her brother also said the couple often fought over this.
