Amid speculations that the BJP-led government is planning to change the country's name to only Bharat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's seating card at the G20 summit has added to the debate.

The card placed on the table in front of Modi's seat said 'Bharat' and not India.

The controversy erupted after the G20 dinner invites sent to the world leaders referred to Draupadi Murmu as 'President of Bharat' and not India. There were also reports that the government plans to use 'Bharat' during the G20 summit.
