The Indian government criticised the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation after one of its officials visited Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
The Indian government on 13 December 2022 said that it strongly condemns the visit of OIC Secretary General to PoK, and his comments on Jammu and Kashmir during the trip.
The government said that the OIC has no locus standi in the matter, and any interference and meddling in India's internal matters are "unacceptable".

The government added that he OIC has lost its credibility by taking a blatantly communal, partisan, and factually incorrect approach to issues.
Arindam Bagchi, the spokesperson for India's external affairs ministry, said that OIC's secretary general has become a "mouthpiece" for Pakistan, and advised him to refrain from becoming a partner in Pakistan's "nefarious" agenda of "promoting cross-border terrorism into India, especially J&K".
