J&K: fearing abduction, a mother's appeal for her soldier son's safe return

Amid fears that Javid Ahmad Wani may have been abducted by militants, his mother has made an emotional plea for his safe return.

The distraught mother has released a heart-wrenching video message, calling on 'one and all to allow his son to return home'. 

A joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Army and paramilitary forces has also launched a search operation to trace an army soldier who went missing on the evening of 29 July from his village in Kulgam.

During the search operation, a pair of his slippers and blood stains were found in his car in Paranhal village. The vehicle was unlocked.
