A Jammu and Kashmir policeman has been arrested for alleged links with a terror accused. DSP Sheikh Aadil Mushtaq has been accused of helping the terror accused evade arrest. The cop also told the terror operative how to falsely implicate the officer investigating him in a terror funding case.

According to an NDTV report, an analysis of the terror accused's phone shows that Aadil Mushtaq was in regular touch with him.  The duo reportedly communicated through the Telegram app.

Senior police officials said they have made a watertight case against Aadil Mushtaq based on technical evidence and money trail.

Aadil Mushtaq allegedly drafted a false complaint on behalf of a terror accused to implicate the investigation officer in a terror funding case, in which three accused were arrested in February and one was on the run.

The arrested cop had allegedly taken ₹ 5 lakh from the accused who had opened a bank account on forged documents in Sopore to manage Lashkar finances.

Four days before terror operative Muzamil Zahoor was arrested in July, he filed complaints against a police officer investigating the terror funding case. Senior officials said that all complaints were drafted by Aadil Mushtaq.
