Karnataka BJP president sought an explanation from his party leaders who shared the stage with rowdy-sheeter 'Silent' Sunil on November 27 at a blood donation camp.
Nalin Kumar Kateel also made it clear that the absconding criminal will not be inducted into the party at any cost.
This after top BJP leaders from the state including Bangalore South MP Tejasvi Surya were seen at the event which led to speculation that Sunil would join the BJP to make his political debut.
The Congress, in a series of tweets, accused the ruling BJP of having links with criminals, and asked Home Minister Araga Jnanendra whether he had prevented police from taking action.
‘Silent’ Sunil is facing various criminal charges including murder, extortion and kidnapping. The police had raided his house on November 23, but he escaped.
He was seen with BJP MPs four days later.
