Kashmiri Pandit shot dead in Valley's Shopian district

A Kashmiri Pandit died after he was shot at from a close range by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Saturday.

Officials said Pooran Krishan Bhat was shot at in Choudry Gund area in the South Kashmir district.

Bhat who was in the lawn of his house when the attack took place was shifted to the district hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Since the watering down of Article 370 in 2019, terrorists have targetted civilians, including those from the minority communities, and carried out a spree of targetted killings in the Union Territory.
