AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday pledged financial assistance to Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) to hire private security guards if his party is re-elected in the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls.
Speaking at a press conference, Kejriwal announced that guidelines on financial aid and the number of guards to be hired would be provided later.
Kejriwal took the opportunity to criticize the BJP, accusing them of neglecting the welfare of Delhi's residents, which he claimed led to their 27-year-long absence from power.
He stated that AAP, in contrast, prioritizes the safety and well-being of Delhi's people, which is why the party is offering financial support to RWAs for improved neighborhood security through private guards.
The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, with results set to be declared on February 8.
