Married — to herself. The defiant act of Kshama Bindu has added a bit more colour to the Pride Month of 2022.
Bindu released pictures on social media of her self-marriage and the ceremony to celebrate self-love.
India has witnessed what is being called the first act of Sologamy as Bindu married herself in Gujarat's Vadodra. The pictures showed all traditional ceremonies being like Haldi, Mehendi being held.
The sologamist advanced her wedding dates so as to avoid controversy in the face of adversity from political quarters. A BJP leader earlier had vowed to stop her bid to marry herself in a temple.
Bindu, who identifies as a bi-sexual, added that her mother, has given her consent for this unusual "groom-less" wedding.

Legal experts, however, said that 'sologamy' or self-marriage would not have any legal standing in India.
