14 people died after the floor covering an ancient well at a temple in Indore caved in on 30 March. The incident was reported from the Shri Baleshwar temple in the Sneh Nagar area of the city.
PTI reported that a large number of people had gathered on the roof of the ancient temple and it caved in as it was unable to bear the load. 19 people were rescued.
Speaking to reporters, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narrotam Mishra said that 14 people were killed in the mishap. 12 bodies have been recovered from the spot while 19 were rescued. Among the rescued people, two people succumbed to injuries. India Today said
