2-year-old child turns blue, stops breathing on Vistara flight. Here's what followed

In an unbelievably fortunate incident, a team of doctors on board the Vistara flight miraculously saved a 2-year-old girl who stopped breathing shortly after the flight took off from Bengaluru for Delhi.

Sharing information about the matter, Delhi AIIMS, on X, said, the cyanotic female child who was operated outside for intracardiac repair, fell unconscious. A team of 5 doctors who happened to be on the same flight swung into action and examined the child. 

Without any delay, the doctors immediately performed CPR with limited resources. 

The situation got complicated after the child suffered cardiac arrest. However, after 45 minutes of non-stop efforts, the baby was resuscitated and the flight was routed to Nagpur.

The child is learnt to be in a stable condition now.
