AAP MLA slapped by husband? Viral video leads Punjab Women Commission to take note

A video apparently showing an Aam Aadmi Party MLA being slapped by her husband is doing the rounds on social media.

Baljinder Kaur, who is a 2-time legislator from Talwandi Sabo in Punjab, was allegedly slapped by husband Sukhraj Singh, who is also an AAP leader.

The video was reportedly shot on 10 July 2022, and is claimed to show Baljinder and Sukhraj arguing before the MLA is apparently slapped. Subsequently, some people present at the spot intervene.

Although the MLA has not filed any complaint, the Punjab State Women Commission chief Manisha Gulati has said that she will take suo motu action.

Baljinder and Sukhraj got married in February 2019. Sukhraj Singh is the convener of AAP's youth wing in Majha region.
