The Allahabad High Court, while declining police protection to an interfaith couple engaged in a live-in relationship on October 23 said such relationships are predominantly 'time pass' and lack stability and sincerity, Bar and Bench reported.

The plea was filed by a Hindu woman and a Muslim man seeking the quashing of an FIR filed against the man for alleged kidnapping by the woman's aunt.

Expressing its reservation on live-in relationship, the court dismissed the plea, but it clarified that its stance did not indicate a judgement on the relationship.
