Yet another targeted attack by terrorists took place in Jammu & Kashmir on April 18. A head constable of the Railway Protection Force, or RPF, was killed in the attack. An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was injured in the incident.
The attack occurred in Kakapora in Pulwama district. The victims were near a tea stall when a terrorist approached them on foot. The attacker appears to have caught them by surprise, quickly shooting them, and then fleeing.

The incident was caught on CCTV. Head Constable Surinder Singh was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. ASI Devraj suffered injuries.
This was reportedly the ninth terror attack in April so far. There has been a spate of attacks on security personnel and civilians in Jammu and Kashmir in recent weeks.
