Popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's murder was planned in Uttar Pradesh and weapons used to kill him were imported from Pakistan, an NDTV report said citing sources.

According to the news outlet, a couple of photographs of Lawrance Bishnoi gang sharpshooters have emerged amid the ongoing probe in the murder case.

In the photos, members of the gang involved in the Moosewala shooting are roaming around in Ayodhya and Lucknow. They are also seen holding modern weapons, allegedly imported from Pakistan.

Citing sources, the outlet further said that the Bishnoi gang was originally tasked to eliminate a 'white-collar' person in Uttar Pradesh.

However, the gang's plan failed, prompting them to carry out Moosewala's murder.
