Delhi Finance Minister Kailash Gahlot presented the national capital's budget on 22 March 2023, a day after the ruling Aam Aadmi Party accused the Narendra Modi government of stalling the budget.
Gahlot presented a ₹78,800 crore Budget, compared to a ₹75,800 crore Budget a year earlier.
He said that the 2023-24 Budget was dedicated to a clean, beautiful, and modern Delhi. The elimination of 3 garbage mounds, the connection of all colonies to the sewer network, and the cleaning of Yamuna were part of the promises.
