Delhi Police nabbed the man who shot a 16-year-old girl in Sangam Vihar area of the national capital on August 25. The accused, identified as Amanat Ali, was apparently irked after the girl cut off all communication with him.

According to the police, the accused had plotted to kill the girl along with his two associates Bobby and Pawan. On the day of the incident, the trio chased the girl who was returning from her school and opened fire. The girl was later rushed to a hospital with a single shot injury. She is said to be out of danger.

According to police, the accused had befriended the girl through social media two years ago, but stopped talking to him around 6 months ago.

Following the incident, all three accused were absconding. While Bobby and Pawan were arrested on Aug 26, Ali was nabbed on August 31.
