Delhi: Zomato delivery man killed after drunk cop's car hit him

A 38-year-old delivery executive of online food delivery platform Zomato was killed after being hit by the vehicle of a policeman who was allegedly drunk. The incident happened in north west Delhi’s Rohini area on Saturday.

The victim has been identified as Salil Tripathi, who was out to deliver a food parcel.

Police said the accused constable identified as Zile Singh has been arrested.

The victim was reportedly flung in the air after being hit by the policeman's vehicle and hit the road divided. He died on the spot.

Tripathi is survived by his wife, 10-year-old son and mother.

The accused was caught by the locals who also captured the incident on their mobile phones. The accused constable also sustained injuries and has been admitted in the hospital.
