The pain of rising prices is continuing to intensify as petrol and diesel rates were hiked for the 13th time in the last 15 days.
Petrol and diesel prices went up by 80 paise per litre each in Delhi on April 5. In Mumbai, the increase was 85 paise per litre.
After the latest hike, petrol prices have reached Rs 104.61/l in Delhi, and Rs 119.67/l in Mumbai. Diesel prices have hit Rs 95.87/l in Delhi, and Rs 103.92/l in Mumbai.
With the latest increase, the total price hike in 15 days amounts to Rs 9.2 per litre.

The Union government has blamed rising international crude oil prices amid the Russia-Ukraine war for the continuous hikes. The Opposition parties have accused the Narendra Modi government of playing politics over the issue, as prices were not raised for around 4 months in the run-up to the recent 5-state elections.
